Old Bird Flying fee
---
Old birds fees will remain the same as last year $425.00. These fees will be offered to those who pay in full by March 1st 2020. After this date, the fee will be $450.00. Each club must submit a single cheque for all flyers in their club. Since the budget is very tight and is based on the exact number of commitments, at the end of the season we have agreed to assess each set of fees an added charge to each club if there is a shortfall.
Young Bird Flying fee
oung birds fees will remain the same as last year $200.00. These fees will be offered to those who pay in full by June 1st 2020. After this date, the fee will be $220.00. Each club must submit a single check for all flyers in their club.
30 Birds Shipping Limit With Open Clocking
For the purpose of producing a combined result only 30 birds must be basketed in the electronic clock. This rule applies to both old and young birds. Clubs may choose to add more birds in the basket unregistered or under a different race as per their own club rules. Each week clubs MUST send the clocking printout for the winning loft to the combine’s race secretary. Failing which or in the event that the printout shows more than 30 birds could results in disqualification with the exception of any unforeseen circumstances.
Joint Release
All races will be flown as joint releases, as per race schedule, however the Limestone club will have the option to a separate release after the main release in the first two scheduled combined young bird races. They will provide a liberator to assist in their liberation.
Rupert River Open
The combine will hold an open race from Rupert River. The entry is five dollars per bird winner takes all. This is open to anyone in Ontario or Quebec flying the minimum distance of the shortest NEF member. The intent of this open is not to raise money or subsidize racing costs but to showcase the unique advantages of the straight north course. Our hope is not only to have a well attended long distance race but to also possibly attract new flyers in the future. A race result will be produced in addition to the NEF provided that the Winspeed Merge File (*.db) will be emailed to the combine race secretary.
WinSpeed
For 2020 we will continue to use Winspeed, as we did last year. Please remember that Winspeed requires a different AU ID number for each member. In order to avoid duplication please follow the examples below. You can choose any combination of numbers provided that you start with the AU followed by either 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4. Release coordinates will be posted on the website each week, please make sure to enter the correct coordinates on Winspeed. Oshawa - Must begin the AU ID number with 0 (zero not O) Example AU000001, AU000011, AU000014, etc. |
